Who We’ve Worked With

Trusted SWPPP Services for Florida Jobsites
In Florida, most construction projects, whether inland, coastal, or near wetlands, must have a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), also called a SW3P. Without one, you could face steep fines, stop work orders, and costly delays. Civil penalties could be $10,000 or more per day for not having a SWPPP in place.
At Pro SWPPP, we make compliance easy and reliable. Inspectors from local municipalities or the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) can visit your site without notice. With a properly prepared SWPPP in place, you will have a clear, actionable plan to manage stormwater runoff, prevent sediment from entering sensitive waterways, and protect Florida’s unique ecosystems.
From heavy rains and hurricane season to fragile wetlands and coastal zones, Florida projects face unique challenges. As a CPESC-certified (short for Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control) SWPPP contractor, we understand Florida’s construction landscape inside and out. We create site-specific plans that meet local, state, and federal requirements while keeping your job site in full compliance year-round.
With more than 17 years of experience, we have streamlined the SWPPP process so you can submit your order online and have a complete, fully compliant plan in hand quickly. From permitting to project completion, our team handles the details so you can focus on building your project, not battling red tape.

Is a SWPPP required in Florida?
Most construction projects in Florida must have a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) if any of the following apply:
- The project will disturb one acre or more of land.
- The project will disturb less than one acre but is part of a larger common plan of development or sale that will ultimately disturb one acre or more.
- The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) determines that a project disturbing less than one acre could affect nearby waterways or their tributaries.
If any of these conditions are met, a SWPPP must be prepared before applying for coverage under Florida’s Construction General Permit. Having a compliant plan in place protects water quality, helps avoid fines, and keeps your project on schedule.

Services We Provide
Getting your SWPPP does not have to be complicated. Just complete our Order Form, provide a link to your Civil Drawings, and we will handle the rest! Within 72 hours you will receive a fully customized SWPPP tailored to your Florida jobsite and project requirements. Every plan is guaranteed to comply with federal (EPA), state (FDEP), county, and city regulations.
We include everything that’s required for your SWPPP so you can stay focused on your project while we make sure your plan is complete, compliant, and ready to go.
If your Florida construction project disturbs more than one acre, you must submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) to obtain coverage under the Construction General Permit through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).
For a small additional fee, we offer a complete turnkey service. With this option, you provide us with a Delegation of Authority (DAR) form and we handle the entire stormwater permitting process for you. This includes submitting your NOI and paying any required permit fees. You won’t need to navigate the FDEP’s online portal, which can be time-consuming and difficult to navigate. We take care of every step so your project remains fully compliant with minimal effort on your part.
If your local authorities require a SWPPP site map before construction starts, we can provide one. Requirements differ by county, and we’ll let you know upfront if a site map is needed for your project.

Florida SWPPP FAQs
What are the SWPPP requirements in Florida?
A SWPPP is required when the land for the construction site:
- Disturbs 1 acre or more, or
- Is part of a larger common plan of development that totals 1 acre or more, AND
- Discharges stormwater into surface waters or a municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4)
Who regulates SWPPP in Florida?
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) enforces the Construction General Permit (CGP) and oversees SWPPPs in the state. FDEP reviews permits, monitors compliance, and enforces stormwater regulations, with local agencies sometimes assisting in inspections and enforcement.
How long will the SWPPP last?
A SWPPP is a temporary document that is only required during construction. In Florida, coverage under the Construction General Permit ends once stormwater controls are in place and the site is stabilized. The SWPPP is then closed with a Notice of Termination (N.O.T.) filed with the FDEP.
Do I need to update the SWPPP if the project changes?
Yes, your SWPPP is a living document that can be updated as site conditions change during your project. We’re here to guide you every step of the way, so whenever you need revisions or updates, just reach out, and we’ll handle them for you.
