Who We’ve Worked With
SWPPP Contractor for Louisiana Construction Compliance
A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), also known as an SW3P, is legally required for most construction projects in Louisiana. Without a compliant plan, you risk astronomical daily fines, stop-work orders, and even criminal penalties.
Inspectors from local municipalities or the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) can visit your site at any time to review SWPPP documentation. If your records aren’t complete, your project could be halted immediately, and you may face serious consequences.
At Pro SWPPP, we develop Louisiana-compliant stormwater plans that satisfy all legal requirements. With more than 17 years in the field, our efficient process ensures accurate, thorough plans delivered quickly, helping you stay compliant and on schedule. Our online ordering system makes the process simple and reduces the risk of project interruptions.
Our team is led by Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), one of the highest credentials in the industry. With this expertise, you can trust that every SWPPP we prepare meets local, state, and federal standards.
Is a SWPPP required in Louisiana?
Yes. Under the Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) Construction General Permit, most construction projects must have a SWPPP if:
- The project will disturb one acre or more of land, or
- It will disturb less than one acre but is part of a larger common plan of development that will ultimately disturb one acre or more.
If either applies, you must develop and follow a SWPPP to stay in compliance with Louisiana DEQ rules.
Failing to do so can lead to serious consequences, including:
- Civil penalties — up to $32,500 per day per violation under La. R.S. 30:2025(E)
- Stop-work orders issued by LDEQ
- Mandatory corrective actions
- And in severe or willful cases, criminal penalties under La. R.S. 30:2076.2, including potential fines and even imprisonment.
Bottom line: Skipping your SWPPP in Louisiana can cost you tens of thousands per day — and even halt your project entirely.
When Will My SWPPP Be Ready?

Services We Provide
Our Louisiana SWPPP services make obtaining your SW3P quick and hassle-free. Just complete our online Order Form, and provide a link to your civil drawings, we take care of the rest. Within 72 hours, you’ll receive a fully customized SWPPP designed specifically for your Louisiana jobsite and project requirements.
Every plan is guaranteed to comply with federal (EPA), state (LPDES), parish, and local regulations, ensuring your project stays fully compliant from start to finish.
For Louisiana construction projects that disturb one acre or more, a Notice of Intent (NOI) must be filed to obtain coverage under the Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) Construction General Permit, administered by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ).
We also offer a Turnkey option for a modest additional fee. With this service, you simply provide a Delegation of Authority (DAR) form, and we handle the entire stormwater permitting process on your behalf, including NOI submission and payment of permit fees, so your project stays fully compliant without added stress.
Some parishes and municipalities in Louisiana require a SWPPP site map before construction begins. If your project is subject to this requirement, we’ll prepare one for you. Because regulations can vary by jurisdiction, we’ll confirm upfront whether a site map is needed and ensure it complies with all local standards.

Louisiana SWPPP FAQs
What are the SWPPP requirements in Louisiana?
If your construction project will disturb one acre or more, Louisiana law requires a SWPPP and coverage under the Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) Construction General Permit.
For a full overview, please see our complete list of SWPPP requirements.
Who regulates SWPPP in Louisiana?
The LDEQ administers the state’s LPDES program. LDEQ issues permits, monitors compliance, and enforces Louisiana’s stormwater regulations, making a compliant SWPPP essential.
How long does a SWPPP last?
A SWPPP is required only during active construction. Once your project is finished, coverage under the Construction General Permit ends through a Notice of Termination (NOT) submitted to the LDEQ.
Do I need to update the SWPPP if the project changes?
Yes. A SWPPP is a living document, so any changes to site conditions or project plans require updates. We handle all revisions, ensuring your plan remains accurate and fully compliant throughout construction.
